Student Visa for Japan

3 - 6 Months

A comprehensive guide to obtaining a Japanese Student Visa, enabling you to study at Japanese language schools, universities, and vocational institutions while experiencing life in Japan.

The Japanese Student Visa, officially the “Student” Status of Residence, enables hundreds of thousands of international students to study in Japan each year. This visa provides a pathway to Japan’s globally recognized education system and serves as an exceptional route to long-term residence and career development. The application process centers on obtaining a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), which is submitted to immigration on your behalf by the accepting school. You must demonstrate financial self-sufficiency through bank statements and sponsor documents, and in some cases, meet Japanese language requirements. After graduation, students can explore employment pathways, making this a well-rounded immigration route that offers both education and career opportunities in Japan.
